The conference was initially intended as an internal event of the Kazimierz Twardowski Philosophical Society of Lviv, aimed at establishing the tradition of the annual meeting of the members of the Society in Lviv in order to present and discuss their latest research and philosophical ideas. The first conference was held at the Center for Urban History of East Central Europe in Lviv in June 2019. In the following years, the conference did not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic first, and then the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The PHILINS organizing committee is chaired by one of the co-founders of the Society – Hubert Bożek. The secretary of the conference is Aleksandra Gomułczak.
